A Sneak Peek

It is so nice to be finished with uni for the year and being able to focus all of my attention on getting ready for the market that is coming up next month! Here is a little sneak peek of some of the things I have been working on today:

Choosing pretty fabrics and designs.

Cutting up pieces ready to be sewn into a dress tomorrow.

Playing with some cute earring and brooch supplies.

Washing and ironing some of the pretty vintage fabrics I will be making into dresses. 

Making some tags to be sewn into the finished dresses.

Summer Starts

Yay! I have just submitted my final assignment for the year meaning I'm officially on uni break for the next four months! Uni has been really busy this year and therefore I have not had a lot of time to do the things I love doing, such as sewing, reading, baking etc. I want to make the most of my free time during this nice long break and have decided to come up with a list of things to do to keep me busy:

+ Start a Project Life photo album to document all of the fun things I'll get up to this summer.

+ Sew and make pretty things for my up coming market stall.

+ Make some delicious Macarons.

+ Reread all of the Harry Potter books again. 

+ Fill up a new journal with drawings, ideas and words. 

+ Make my own recipe book with all of my favourite recipes from my mums collection. 

Finders Keepers Market

Another Finders Keepers Market has been and gone in Melbourne and I still am yet to go to one. I have always wanted to go to a finders keepers since I found out about the market a few years ago. I thought I might be able to go to this one but unfortunately I was far too busy with uni work and didn't really have the funds to make it this time. A Dinner Party

This weekend my very talented friend Coby held the most lovely dinner party for our best friends! It was so nice to get together over good food and enjoy each others company to celebrate the end of classes for the year! I thought I would share some pictures of Cobys pretty table setting. Coby also made some amazing food, my favourite being the delicious espresso panna cotta with home made ice-cream for dessert, but unfortunately I didn't get any photos of them as we decided to put our phones away for the night and just enjoy each others company instead! Keep an eye on Cobys lovely blog though, as I'm sure she will share some photos and maybe even some recipes over there! 

A Little Break

Yesterday I finally had my very last class for the year! Even though I've found that this year has gone really quick, I definitely am more then ready for a nice long break from uni and assignments! Today I have been working hard on my third last assignment for the year and decided, as a break, to treat myself to the latest Frankie magazine and a pretty cup of tea. Little breaks like this are definitely needed to help me get through all of my work. Hope you are all having a lovely weekend!

Swan Emporium

The Swan Emporium is an amazing looking boutique in Fitzroy, Victoria that sells the most adorable vintage inspired clothing and gifts! This boutique has so many lovely details, such as the dreamy mint green walls, the pretty frocks being organised by colour and the amazing vintage illustration feature wall! Every picture from their Facebook page makes me swoon and I will definitely have to visit this lovely place next time I'm in Melbourne!

It's no secret that I love the colour mint green. It is such a lovely, dreamy colour that I don't think I will ever get tired of! Here are some pretty mint green pictures for you to enjoy on this lovely weekend. I'm excited to get this next week started as it is finally my last week of classes for the year! By this time next week I will be a very happy girl, as even though I will still have a few assignments to finish, I won't have to go to uni everyday! Holidays are nearly here!   

2014 Frankie Journal

This week I was happy to receive my pre-ordered 2014 Frankie Journal! I love this diary! It is so pretty and feminine and features some lovely botanical prints. I have bought every Frankie diary since I missed out on getting one the very first year they were released and they keep getting better every year! If you would like one of your own you can buy them here but be quick as they sell out fast!   

Fabled and True

Fabled and True is a lovely fashion label that has a mixture of handmade and vintage items. Each handmade item is made from the most beautiful vintage fabrics and lace which makes each design unique and special. As an aspiring dress maker, Fabled and True is a very inspiring fashion label for me! I especially love the cute vintage inspired shorts, that are first picture, which were released just yesterday! 

Tea Party

Earlier this year my lovely friend Coby had a high tea/ tea party for her 21st birthday! Even though it was a while ago now I thought it was too pretty not to share! Coby is an amazing baker and I was very excited to taste some of the amazing sweet treats that she whipped up for the day! She had spent a few months collecting vintage goods such as table cloths and teacups and styled the whole thing so lovely! She even set up a few board games around the room and croquet on the lawn. So pretty! It was definitely the best party I have been to!
